What I Wore: Vintage Neon Floral

Fashionistas, when the sun is shining bright, my outfits transform from all-black to technicolor. There’s something about the sun that makes my color sensibilities flow at full force.

To celebrate spring and the warm temperatures, I recently wore my favorite pink, blue and green vintage floral skirt I scored at the Rockville, MD Goodwill ages ago. This piece, as you can see, is already a showstopper! I decided to keep the rest of my Saturday look fun yet, not too crazy.

I opted to pattern mix by integrating stripes into my ensemble with this long sleeve crop top. I wear so many stripes these days it feels like a normal staple! I find stripes to be the easiest pattern to mix with other prints – it seems to match circular prints nicely.

As an 80’s lover, I had to throw on a pop of pink lip to tie in the pinks throughout my outfit. By using pink on the lip, this color created visual movement from the top to the bottom of my look.

To finish the look, I HAD to add fun, big gold dangly earrings, and a Guess jean jacket! The earrings are always my go-to pick when putting an 80’s inspired look together.  And for under $5 from Goodwill, how could I not buy and wear these?

My outfit consisted of:

Striped Crop Top:  American Apparel

Floral  Long Skirt: Vintageunder $6 –  Gaithersburg Goodwill

Vintage Jean Jacket: Guess, Under $6 – Rockville Goodwill

Gold Earrings: Vintage, $.99 – Gaithersburg Goodwill

Outfit total (Goodwill items): $15

What Goodwill finds are you using for your spring looks?
