What I Wore: It’s Always Sunny in the Office

Happy April, fashionistas! Now that spring is FINALLY here, I can whip out my brighter, newly acquired, Goodwill staples and integrate them into fun looks for the season.

Although this month is known for its showers, there’s still a big opportunity to dress in rich colors without having to cover them up with a raincoat.

For today’s outfit post I’m embracing spring blues, grays, and yellows in a cute and cheerful work-appropriate ensemble.

While blue and yellow are not complementary colors, their warm and cool tones sync well with one another. This makes for an effective combination.

From there, a neutral will always have its place among brighter colors. So I chose to add in fun variations of gray to balance out the bright colors.

Finally, I wanted to pop in one more color to my already cheerful look. To accomplish this I threw in a cranberry, drawstring, Elliot Lucca handbag into the mix. I think it works against the yellow and blue because it isn’t too bright or eye-catching. It’s small and subtle.

Out of the whole look, I’m especially in love with my Ann Taylor Loft, petite, ruffle, blouse. It harkens back to the hippie decade by way of pattern and ruffle but it isn’t too over the top. It’s feminine and flirty in all the right places.

This H&M skirt is also a new favorite gem in my closet. You don’t really see bright yellow colors sold in stores. If you do, they come in the form of polka dots or stripes. So when I saw this baby hanging out at Goodwill, I instantly knew it would be a statement piece.

What do you think of today’s look, fashionistas? Thoughts on the color and pattern mixing? How would you style this boho office top? Leave a comment with your thoughts!

If you’re also curious to know where each item came from in my look, here’s the scoop! Everything from Goodwill added up to below $50.
