Vintage Pattern Palooza at the Goodwill RISE Breakfast

Last spring I was fortunate to be invited to Goodwill of Greater Washington’s RISE event. Every year Goodwill employees gather together for their annual celebration of R.I.S.E, the organization’s core values: Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence. Employees are awarded, stores are showcased, and the entire organization reflects on the successes of the previous year. It’s all around an amazing experience. Each year there’s always a performance. Last year there was a magician!

My favorite part of this event is the chance to mingle with Goodwill employees and store associates. I feel like it brings me closer to Goodwill’s mission and allows me to become more integrated with the Goodwill family.

At last year’s event, I rocked all Goodwill finds, of course. And you know I will do so again this year! Stay tuned for an upcoming outfit post, but for a throwback, here’s what I wore last year. I’m still in love with this look!

As always, you know I love a good pattern mix. 🙂

Last year, my outfit consisted of:

Vintage patterned shirt: Vintage under $6 –  Gaithersburg Goodwill

Long striped skirt: Zara, Under $7 – Gaithersburg Goodwill

Gold and silver strappy shoes: Vintage, $5.99 –Rockville Goodwill

Outfit total (Goodwill items): $25!

I can’t wait for this year’s event! Hopefully, I can rock a look for under $25, truly showing that Goodwill is THE spot for finding fun ensembles to wear at everything from a night out to a breakfast celebration!
