Trendy Tuesday: Last minute costumes, from your closet!

So, you waited until three days before Halloween to decide that you need a costume? Sounds a lot like me, dear readers. Life is busy this time of year and if you just haven’t had the time to put the thought into a get-up for your weekend festivities, I’ve got some great ideas that you’ve probably already got hiding in your closet.

Moschino 2015 Runway Barbie: I have to throw this one in first because after all, this is a fashion blog! *hairflip* This is super simple one to recreate. You just need pink everything and blonde wig (unless you’re already a blondie). If you want to get creative and take it a step further, cut out some Moschino lettering and paste is all over your outfit. All you’ll need is a pair of heels, a swipe of blonde lipstick and you will be ready to go with no purchase necessary!

Frida Kahlo: Known for her self-portraits, Frida Kahlo is a distinct look that won’t leave any of your fellow costumed friends wondering what you are supposed to be. For this one, you’ll just need a brow pencil (to recreate that famous unibrow!), some red silk flowers (can be made from red fabric), and a bold floral scarf. If you have a house dress similar to the cutie below, that would also be up the alley of something Frida may have worn. If not, the scarf and all black will get your point across. Can we just take a minute and look at how adorable this little girl is? Click the picture for a link that leads you to even more of her Halloween looks.

Just want to pinch her cute little cheeks! Eeek!

Charlie Chaplin: Here is another unmistakable classic! We’ve all got plenty of black and white in our closets, right? Well if you don’t want to do the typical Mime or Wednesday Adams with that combination. How about a Charlie Chaplin get up? You’ll just need a black suit, white shirt, black tie, black shoes and a black hat. The make-up is where you’ll create your look with this one. A very pale foundation with black accenting on the lips and eyes will make you unmistakable!

So my dear readers, don’t you fret if you have no idea what to be for Halloween. You’ve got plenty of options right in your closet. I promise.
