Fashionista Friday: Your New Summer Home Inspiration

Need to give your home some summer lovin’? Want to spice up your space with lighter tones and cheerful decor? Well, today’s Fashionista Friday has you covered because she’s giving out some seriously exciting home inspiration on her Instagram.

Perusing the #MyGoodwillFind hashtag I couldn’t help but notice a plethora of warm, summery, home photos. Many of these were filled with Goodwill housewares.

Baskets, chairs, rugs, you name it… they all came from Goodwill! And that’s when I dove deeper into Nikki Evans’ page; an account populated with the best home inspiration powered by Goodwill finds.

Nikki is an  Illinois Goodwill fashionista, a mama of 4, and a memory maker. She’s a vintage expert as well as an interior decorator. No wonder her home is so gorgeous!

Meant to share this earlier but baby girls playdate came first. So this is my view as she naps. @thebusynest and @salvagedior tagged me in a post for a weekly theme called #budgetboho so Im sharing my workspace/homework station. the ultimate boho, thrifted all around the world souviner shrine. The wall hanging from Hobby Lobby using a 40% coupon. Recliner was in babies nursey. (Always buy a chair for the nursery you can use even after it becomes a toddler room) Sams Club $200. One basket from a street vendor in New York made by women in Africa. My mexican blanket from my work trip in Sedona Arizona and everything else Goodwill. Desk has been painted, chair painted and repolstured. What’s your #budgetboho look like?? #bohemianhome #eclecticdecor #macrameplanthanger #mexicanblanket #interiordesigner #homeofficeideas #howyouboho #thriftedhome #bestofhome #mygoodwillfind

As you can see in these snaps, she has a keen eye for sprucing up a home to emanate a joyous, lighthearted feeling.

Who knew simple baskets for under a buck a piece at Goodwill could make a home look so warm, cozy, and refreshing! Simple and economically savvy design choices like these can really elevate your space.

After looking at this fashionista’s page I have a goal this summer to purge more items from my living space to make it more inviting and breathtaking. Just like Nikki’s home.

Thank you Nikki for sharing your lovely home photos with me on Instagram! I’d love to hear and see more of your tips and tricks for decorating on a dime.
