Fashionista Friday: Vintage Duo at the DC Library of Congress

Fashionistas, today I’m bringing you back to a time when disco was thriving and fashion was at one of it’s highest points: the 1970’s. Filled with glitz, big hair, and sassy sequins, this decade was one for the books.

Styles and trends of this era still cycle through fashion. Big earrings and hippie-style prints are making their way through stores like Urban Outfitters and H&M even today.

You can also find 70’s fashion at DC Goodwill stores. Just like these two Fashionista Fridays today!

Last weekend, Brightest Young Things held one of their popular events in partnership with the Library of Congress to bring disco, fashion, and fun to the historic library.

Hundreds of people attended the event all dressed in retro digs. These two ladies featured in today’s post both found their dresses at DC Goodwill for basically under $10 a pop. What a steal!

Their gems just go to show you can purchase costume-like necessities at Goodwill stores that still look wearable and on trend.

Thanks for sharing your looks on Instagram, ladies! You looked amazing at the event and I can’t wait to attend one in the future.

What vintage-inspired fashions have you scored at DC Goodwill stores, fashionistas?
