Fashionista Friday: Under $50 Outfit of the Day

Happy Friday, fashionistas!

I know we’re all gearing up for holiday shopping in the upcoming weeks so for this Fashionista Friday I’m showcasing a look that shows you how to shop, look good, and save money while supporting a good cause.

Jillian, this week’s Goodwill expert, is a Goodwill-loving Washingtonian who loves feminism, fashion, and being frugal. As you look at her Instagram feed, it’s easy to see that this fashionista is fashionable and a true DC lover. She’s always exploring DC’s hot spots in the coolest outfits!

When hanging out at DC Reynolds, a Petworth bar, Jillian rocked a Goodwill look that totaled under $40! I don’t know about you, but I’m in love with the fall vibes of this ensemble. The contrast of deep red tights against the brown short booties emanates a warm and cozy feel. I’m also loving how the red from the tights tie into the plaid of her thick mini skirt! What a great combo!

Looks like these truly show how you can create an entire outfit from Goodwill, that looks put-together, on-trend, and classy without breaking the bank.

Thanks, Jillian for sharing your look and tagging DC Goodwill in your post! I look forward to seeing more of your fall/winter looks.

This look reminds me of schoolgirl outfit. I like the simplicity of its components, that consist of a black cardigan, cream-white turtleneck tucked into plaid print short skirt. The look is complemented with dark red tights and light brown leather heeled booties. Simple, chic and retro inspired.
