Fashionistas, last week was St. Patrick’s Day. And while we were all thinking about the color green, today’s Fashionista Friday was thinking about green living!
On Instagram, this creative Goodwill diva used the #MyGoodwillfind hashtag to cleverly call out how she celebrated St. Patty’s Day without all the partying.
Today’s lovely lady is a North Carolina girl with a passion for art and watercolors. She’s a hard-working student and an avid Goodwill advocate with a love of upcycling and DIY. She often gives to Goodwill and recycles her own clothing by gifting it to friends. Last, but not least, she embarks on cool craft adventures along with actual physical journeys across the country.
As we see on her page and with this particular March post, this girl knows how to shop the DC Goodwill stores.
My St.Patty’s day green wasn’t the color green- it was the concept of green! I grabbed these two necklaces and adorable canvases from an area goodwill. The canvas was still wrapped and from #francescas, and the necklaces were #madewell and #jcrew! No one says being sustainable means you can’t also be stylish! #sustainablefashion #mygoodwillfind #saintpatricksday #thriftstorefinds #whatadeal #sustainability #greenliving
I’m absolutely head over heels about her latest DC Goodwill finds, consisting of a Francesca’s art piece and not one, but two, J Crew brand (Madewell is owned by J Crew) necklaces. These babies are typically about $50 a piece and she scored them each for a fraction of the price. The black one is especially cute and unique! I’d wear it with a collared shirt.
Looking through this girl’s ‘gram, we are also reminded that Goodwill is a great spring cleaning solution and you can easily donate your clothes to most DC Goodwill locations (or give them to friends!).
When I go shopping at Goodwill, I sometimes forget to bring my donations. So I appreciate this creative reminder!
Thanks lady for sharing your finds and love of Goodwill with me! I can’t wait to see what else you find on the racks this spring.
