Fashionista Friday: Beautiful Betsy’s Fresh Fall Style

I first found today’s Fashionista Friday on Instagram, but after clicking through to her blog called the Goodwill Digger, I knew I found a fashionista just like us!

The beautiful Betsy is a 20-something, who recreates fashion’s latest and greatest styles with the help of her local Goodwill in Nashville.

If you scroll through her page, you’ll be overwhelmed with dozens of incredible outfits, composed mostly of Goodwill items. She rocks items from every season and decade with sass and pizzazz. We all can take cues from her!

I’m in love with this classic fall look, more than 50% composed of Goodwill items. It’s neutral tones have me feeling Thanksgiving and her smile is just captivating. The whole head-to-toe look is simply a big success.

Betsy’s ensembles can fool the non-Goodwill shopper because it looks like it came off of the high fashion racks for full retail price. However, this is not the case…and it’s amazing!

Betsy’s warm and cute Forever 21 mustard yellow toggle jacket is from Goodwill, and was probably under $10. A jacket like this must have at least retailed for $30! The toggles are a unique detail. They’re a fun way to fasten a jacket, and are reminiscent of Ralph Lauren-type coats.

Next up, you won’t believe her top AND skirt came from Goodwill as well! I love this red, gray, blue and yellow combination. I’m getting hints of Christmas, but mostly Thanksgiving vibes. Overall it feels very festive.

I think every fashionista needs at least one good turtleneck in her fall and winter wardrobe. They always keep the neck very warm, and replace the need for a necklace. Plus, a turtleneck slims the neck and makes your torso appear a bit longer.

Also every fashionista needs at least one wool and/or plaid skirt as well. Why not both! Wool is a warm and quality winter fabric that will last for decades. But you must be very careful when laundering this material for it shrinks and gets damaged easily.

As for plaid, whether it be a top or skirt, a good plaid item is classic. Plus the pattern comes in a variety of color combinations. There’s something for everyone!

Betsy, thank you SO much for dedicating your blog partially to Goodwill. Not only do we enjoy seeing your outfits, but it’s great knowing that your knack for style is helping those in your community get jobs.  I can’t wait to see more seasonal outfits!

Fashionistas, which part of Betsy’s outfit is your favorite?
