Fashionista Friday: Carina’s Blue Cross Front Michael Kors Dress

Today’s California Goodwill Fashionista, dear readers, is Carina a woman who always shows us her Goodwill love on Instagram using the #MyGoodwillFind hashtag. On a daily basis she posts pictures of her Goodwill scores, most of them being super cute dresses, including the one I’m featuring today.

Although Michael Kors isn’t my go-to brand, (read here), Carina’s Michael Kors blue cross front and back keyhole dress is one that I wish I had in my closet. A dress like this retails for $100+, but was snagged for only $8.99. That’s my kind of deal!

I am digging the aqua print on this dress – it’s very beachy and playful. In the winter, it will definitely have me wishing for warmer summer days. I am in love with the cross front keyhole of the dress because it creates a captivating visual path from the face down to the bottom of the dress and gives the body a beautiful feminine look. The water like print keeps the eye entertained! The length of the dress is very flattering but not too revealing. It hits right at the knee, allowing the dress to potentially be work-attire when worn with a cardigan.

Like in the rest of her photos, Carina knows how to make an outfit come together with shoes and accessories. In both pictures, her choice of a simple black heel is a darn good one; the simple yet chic shoe allows the dress to be the star of the show. The added belt is also a smart choice because it gives her body an hourglass shape and jives phenomenally with the sandal heels.

Bling wise, I enjoy how Carina has kept it very simple. In fact, I’m not spotting any jewelry at all. This is a good move because any glitz might have been overboard with the belt. But…I am left wondering what jewelry would work with the dress. At the very least, I think long dangly gold or silver earrings along with matching arm candy would be suitable.

This dress, amongst her other super duper cute dresses, is a home-run!

Don’t stop posting your amazing dresses, Carina! I wish I could be as successful as you with always hitting the dress jackpot. We need to connect so you can teach me your ways!

What do you think of Carina’s amazing score, dear readers? Would you bring this dress home from Goodwill?
