Yours truly with Goodwill’s Shanna Gidwani at our 2012 gala
You may not know Shanna, but you certainly know her influence around Goodwill of Greater Washington. She keeps this blog running, is behind the scenes at almost every local Goodwill event, and you can even find her rummaging through the racks at our local Goodwill stores to find tons of Good Buys.
What Shanna doesn’t let on about herself, though, is that she is a pretty savvy shopper. She certainly gives the DCGF a run for my money!
After the grand opening of our new Annandale Plaza store last weekend, Shanna shared a photo of her finds with this steller testimonial:
“This is why you gotta shop at Goodwill. I paid $20 for a brand new sweater, shoes, and 2 paper lanterns and then a hat. I looked up the original prices. The boots are from Nordstrom and would have cost me $200. The hat is from Nordstrom and would have cost me $40. The sweater would have cost me $40-50. Convinced yet?”
And it’s not just grand-opening luck, either. Shanna has a knack for pulling new-with-tags items from the racks at every Goodwill I’ve seen her shop. Take a look at her most recent haul:

You’ve got to admit. She knows what she’s doing.
Shanna, I know you’ll never admit it, but you’re totally a fashionista. You’re a shining example for other Goodwill shoppers!

Thank you for the mention, Lisa!! The boots have to be my best find yet. I would never spend $200 on pair of shoes!

Love those! It is an extra rush to find great things with the price tag still on them! I found last week a pair of CK pants with the price tag of 69.00 on them! (it was at a bag sale ,tho, not at my favorite Rockville Gwill! With my other bag items, I paid .75!!! Got to be a savy shopper!
