You’ve seen Brea of DC fashion blog What I Wore: Tip to Toe on the DCGF blog before. She’s a thrifty fashionista, and can often be found scooping up deals both vintage and current at Goodwill!
This time, she appears here to show off a toasty warm ensemble she showed off on New Year’s Eve. It seems like we were all making our resolutions so long ago, but there’s still a little bit of winter yet—which means plenty of time for fabulous fur!
Fur’s a hot topic in fashion, with plenty of fur lovers and faux-fur advocates on each side of the debate. My personal rule? If the fur is old—vintage or purchased after someone donated it—it’s fair game. I wouldn’t buy a new fur coat from a retailer, but I would definitely consider one from the racks at Goodwill.
Brea might agree with me. She picked up this amazing silver fur from our Edited for Goodwill pop-up, and paired it with a silver-and-black party-ready ensemble. I love that she chose a daring sheer top, but didn’t sacrifice comfort (or style) once she went out in the cold!
You can check out the whole outfit on What I Wore: Tip to Toe. Make sure to take a peek at her classic vintage pumps!
Brea, we knew you were a Fashionista, but it was worth repeating. Thanks for supporting Goodwill!
