Edited for GoodwillYou’ve heard of pop-up shops and may have visited some—and now it’s time for Goodwill to have its own! I’m so excited that the fashionable folks at Gensler have designed a fun shop for us to show off some of our finest goods right in downtown Washington, D.C.

Join us August 1-3 at Pepco Edison Place Gallery at 702 Eighth Street, N.W. From noon to 7 each day, you’ll be able to shop women’s and men’s clothing, handbags and shoes that have been selected by employees at our retail stores around the region. You might even find a few pieces that I’ve plucked from the racks! As usual, Goodwill’s great prices will be enforced.

We’ll also be showing off “Faces of Goodwill” artwork by our own David Amoroso. A little art, a little shopping, a little pop-up appreciation…sounds like the perfect lunch break or after-work enjoyment if you’re near Chinatown or Metro Center!

Not even yours truly has seen plans for Edited for Goodwill, so the big reveal will surely be a blast! I can’t wait to shop with you next month!

Want to learn more about pop-up shops while you’re waiting for Edited for Goodwill? Gensler offered a blog post this spring that talks about the pop-up trend—and how it might have more staying power than you think!
